Lalo's sits at 11399 Overseas Hwy #1 and runs 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily, with happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m. The bar has $8 signature cocktails including rum punch, mojitos and margaritas, alongside a $7 food menu with crab salad towers and spicy tuna rolls. That is a happy-hour tab that reads more like a Homestead price than a Middle Keys one, and it is the reason the seats fill on nights when the visitor traffic thins.
The Upstairs Move at Keys Fisheries
The other real change is a floor above a room you already know. Keys Fisheries added Clawsablanca, an adults-only upstairs raw bar that offers oysters, clams, stone crabs, and craft cocktails with panoramic water views and a complimentary nightly sunset rum punch toast. The downstairs order-at-the-window operation still does what it has always done. The upstairs is the new play, and it is squarely a locals' room dressed for date night.
The stone crab timing is worth calling out because Clawsablanca is built around it. During stone crab season, mid-October through mid-May, Keys Fisheries is one of the best places in South Florida to get stone crab claws, straight off the boats that dock at the marina, cracked and served fresh.
